Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document findings from initial consultations through the course of treatment.

• Design individualized treatment plans that address specific mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs, adapting to the unique requirements of each client.

• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to foster engagement and healing.

• Regularly monitor therapy progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment approaches to optimize effectiveness and client satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range widely in demographics and needs, from adolescents facing anxiety and depression to adults struggling with varying degrees of mental health disorders and behavioral issues. You will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, enabling you to apply culturally competent approaches and interventions tailored to each individual's circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and coworkers.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an innate ability to connect with clients compassionately and empathetically.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to streamline documentation and care planning.

• Experience working with clientele from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and age groups.
\n
• Understanding of the impact of physical health conditions and addiction disorders on mental health.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.
