Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed initial mental health evaluations to assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and client input.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to foster healing and growth.

• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to create comprehensive care plans.

• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and treatment plans, adhering to state and federal privacy regulations.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing education about mental health management and strategies to encourage recovery.

• Manage referrals and follow-up with healthcare providers regarding the care of clients requiring additional services.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.

• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the effects of prescribed medications.

• Ability to work independently while also effectively collaborating in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting, particularly involving family and couples therapy.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring issues, including mental health disorders linked with substance abuse or chronic health conditions.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a signing bonus.
