Join Our Team as a WIC Peer Counselor at Ocean County Health Department!
Are you passionate about supporting new mothers on their breastfeeding journey? Become a crucial part of our team by sharing your experiences and offering guidance as a WIC Peer Counselor. Your role will be to connect with mothers, providing the understanding and encouragement only someone who's been through similar challenges can offer.
As a WIC Peer Counselor, you'll be a lifeline for moms navigating the joys and hurdles of pregnancy and early motherhood. Your expertise and empathy will empower them with the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed.
Our WIC Program is committed to supporting families with flexible hours, operating Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We offer a nurturing and collaborative environment where your contribution truly makes a difference.

Qualifications
Candidates must be currently breastfeeding or have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of six months, possess a positive attitude toward breastfeeding, and demonstrate a desire to assist other mothers in having a rewarding experience.
