Make a real difference in the lives of middle schoolers as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist this upcoming school year. Join a supportive educational environment located near Des Plaines, IL, where your expertise will empower diverse students to reach their full potential. This contract role is set for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting September 29, 2026 and concluding June 9, 2027. Flexibility is available for both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time arrangements, and you will work exclusively on site.

In this position, you’ll support a varied caseload—typically around 45 students—across one or possibly multiple middle school campuses. Your bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English will help bridge communication and provide much-needed services to a diverse student body. The specific caseload and school assignments will be determined based on district needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
• Current Illinois SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Bilingual in Spanish & English required
• Experience within school settings (middle school preferred)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
• Conduct screenings and evaluations as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support students’ overall educational success
