Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to determine patients' trauma histories and the most appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience in patients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients on their healing journeys.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients articulate their trauma experiences, learn coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate assistance to those in need.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation per legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in clinical case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training focused on trauma-informed care practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Strong foundation in trauma-informed care principles and treatment modalities specific to trauma recovery.

• A proactive approach to managing high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly related to trauma.

Compensation and Benefits\n
