Work Environment

This position is primarily off-site, requiring the therapist to engage directly within the homes of patients. Key Responsibilities

• Perform extensive evaluations to assess the physical condition of athletes and active individuals, determining the best course of action.
• Create tailored rehabilitation programs that incorporate advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, strength training, and injury prevention methods.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists, to ensure optimal patient care and recovery pathways.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for tracking patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required to support maximum recovery efficacy.
• Educate patients and their families on injury management practices, enhancing performance, and promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and internal performance improvement activities focused on sports health education and prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Advanced Sports Rehabilitation Therapist will work with a diverse clientele, including amateur and professional athletes, active adults, and individuals recovering from sports-related injuries. We serve clients who are eager to return to their sports or recreational activities post-injury, prioritizing their health and rehabilitation needs with personalized treatment plans that fit their lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution or equivalent Master's degree.
• Current Florida Physical Therapy license, or eligibility to obtain one before the start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Certification as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) or plans to obtain this certification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication skills with a strong patient-centered focus and motivational ability.
• CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Experience implementing rehabilitation protocols for common sports injuries, including ACL and rotator cuff injuries.
• Knowledge of advanced rehabilitation techniques and modalities applicable to sports medicine.
• Prior involvement in community sports engagement programs or educational projects related to injury prevention.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
