Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans for clients, ensuring their needs and goals are clearly understood.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, applying methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, while adapting approaches to individual cases.

• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to offer holistic care and comprehensive support for clients.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the practice.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training, staying abreast of the latest advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse range of clients, spanning various demographics and backgrounds. This position will involve supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance abuse. It’s imperative to establish strong therapeutic relationships and create an atmosphere of trust and understanding where clients can express their concerns freely.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical or community setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software tools for managing client data.
