Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within various non-clinical settings, including residential homes and community facilities in Waldorf. Our integrated team approach allows for collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring our Nurse Practitioners work in a supportive and empowering environment. The schedule is organized with designated working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and evaluations, including detailed history-taking and physical examinations to determine patients' health status.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests and procedures, utilizing the findings to formulate effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide general medical care while addressing both acute and chronic primary care issues, making informed decisions regarding the urgency of medical conditions.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient documentation as required by regulatory standards, ensuring all information is documented within established healthcare systems.
• Engage in collaborative practice with supervising physicians, initiating consults and referrals as needed, and identifying when patient care requires oversight beyond the Nurse Practitioner scope.
• Lead or participate in community health initiatives and preventative care programs focusing on various populations such as adults, geriatrics, pediatric patients, and specific women’s health programs.

This role services a diverse patient population, including adults, seniors, and children. Our healthcare services emphasize chronic disease management and preventive care, ultimately aiming to improve health outcomes through comprehensive care plans. The Family Nurse Practitioner will address a variety of health concerns, contributing positively to each patient’s health journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Family Health from an accredited nursing program.
• Active and unrestricted national certification from reputable organizations such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• A valid and current Maryland nursing license to practice.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in chronic disease management, preventative care, and the ability to navigate complex patient cases.
• Prior experience working in community health settings or with underserved populations.
• Skills in establishing patient rapport and trust to facilitate effective healthcare delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 125,000 to 140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, employees can expect comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
