Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at maximizing patients' functional abilities, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' muscle strength, joint function, and overall physical capacity using standardized testing protocols.
• Supervise, instruct, and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff in delivering therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation exercises as per treatment plans.
• Administer a variety of treatments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to ensure optimal recovery.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families, outlining treatment strategies and providing education on home exercises and equipment use.
• Document all patient interactions and progress accurately in clinical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to refine treatment approaches and share insights with colleagues.
• Track client progress and assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions, making recommendations for adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment.
• Stay current with evidence-based practice by attending ongoing education and training workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapist will primarily work with a diverse clientele, ranging from post-operative patients to individuals managing chronic pain conditions. The facility serves a wide demographic, including seniors, athletes, and patients recovering from neurological disorders, emphasizing tailored treatment approaches that consider the unique challenges faced by each patient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient engagement and team collaboration.

• Ability to assess client needs and adapt treatment methodologies accordingly.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a similar outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
