Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during initial consultations, ensuring all pertinent information is accurately documented to inform the treatment path.

• Design and implement customized treatment and recovery plans in collaboration with clients, tailored to address their unique challenges and goals.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that create a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions and to develop coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and feedback.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate care effectively.

• Conduct follow-up consultations with hospitalization staff for clients who require inpatient care, ensuring continuity of treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, equipping them to overcome challenges and misunderstandings related to mental illness.

• Utilize digital management systems, such as AVATAR, to stay organized and maintain consistency in client records and communications.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population includes individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, as it enhances collaboration and record accuracy.
