Are you a culinary leader who thrives in high-volume events, elevated banquet execution, and creating memorable guest experiences?
We’re partnering on a confidential search for a Banquet Chef to join one of Washington, DC’s premier luxury hospitality destinations . This is an opportunity to lead banquet culinary operations inside a highly respected, upscale environment known for exceptional service, sophisticated events, and strong leadership support.
This role is ideal for a chef who loves the energy of large-scale execution while maintaining elevated culinary standards.
What You’ll Do- Lead day-to-day banquet kitchen operations for meetings, social events, weddings, VIP functions, and catered experiences
- Execute high-quality culinary experiences while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Manage scheduling, labor, food cost controls, and kitchen performance metrics
- Train, mentor, and develop culinary teams while building a positive kitchen culture
- Partner closely with Events, Catering, and F&B leadership teams to ensure flawless execution
- Maintain inventory, purchasing standards, and operational excellence
- Ensure strict compliance with sanitation and food safety procedures
- Banquet Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or senior culinary leadership experience in hotels, upscale restaurants, resorts, or event-driven operations
- Strong background managing high-volume banquet and catering production
- Ability to lead teams while remaining hands-on during service execution
- Experience balancing elevated guest experience with financial performance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Base Salary: $100,000–$105,000
