Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate patients’ trauma histories, which will inform the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized therapeutic interventions focused on promoting recovery from trauma and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective therapeutic care.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding participants through healing processes and helping them to develop coping strategies to manage their trauma responses.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care that addresses both mental health and medical needs.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-induced emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma-related responses and coping mechanisms, enhancing their awareness of available resources and support systems.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings and case consultations focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist in this role will work primarily with individuals experiencing the effects of trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
