Positive Pathways Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized child and adolescent psychiatry team. Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and the ability to connect with clients from their own environments. While we operate Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs. Our team comprises experienced child psychiatrists and licensed therapists who collaborate closely, fostering a supportive and collegial atmosphere dedicated to holistic care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that take into account developmental milestones and family situations.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family-focused therapy.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to help caregivers foster supportive home environments.
\n
• Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for young clients.

• Respond to and manage crisis situations involving children and their families, providing necessary support and intervention.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment alternatives, and community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development activities.

• Stay current with research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. This role will require establishing trust and rapport with both young clients and their families, ensuring that treatment is not only effective but also empathetic and supportive.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Nevada.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic methodologies, and counseling practices.

• Proven experience in providing individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a child-centered therapeutic approach.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of experience working as a mental health counselor is required. Experience specifically in child and adolescent mental health settings is highly preferred, as well as familiarity with community resources available for clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
