Our work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and challenges of individuals entering substance use treatment.

• Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, tailored to the specific circumstances of each patient.

• Provide individual counseling sessions, utilizing methodologies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate positive change.

• Organize and lead group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where individuals can share experiences and learn from one another.

• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, showcasing your commitment to client safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals living with substance use disorders. You will support individuals who may also be facing co-occurring mental health challenges, requiring a versatile approach to treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Demonstrated experience in facilitating individual and group therapy within addiction treatment contexts.
