Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health to identify needs, issues, and goals.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on individual assessments, integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Facilitate regular therapeutic sessions—both individual and group—using techniques that are culturally responsive and supportive.

• Specialize in addressing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or support groups, when additional care is necessary.

• Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to continual professional development and organizational improvement.

• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards of practice in all interactions with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with a range of psychological challenges such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, substance use disorders, and more. Our ideal candidate will possess the sensitivity and skill needed to engage with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring that all treatment approaches are informed by cultural competencies and inclusive practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• At least four years of related experience in the mental health field.
