Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the unique needs of children and adolescents seeking help.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that utilize therapeutic modalities appropriate for developmental stages.

• Provide direct evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Engage in family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers to foster supportive home environments conducive to their children's mental health.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring that immediate support is available for clients facing acute mental health challenges.

• Educate families about mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their support of their children.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of client sessions in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Actively participate in ongoing professional development initiatives and remain current with best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse client population of children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health disorders. You will work with clients who may be experiencing the effects of trauma, school-related stress, family dynamics, and other socio-emotional challenges. Your contributions will directly influence their therapeutic journey, focusing not just on symptom relief but also on building resilience and coping strategies for holistic mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• Strong understanding of developmental psychology and evidence-based practices tailored for the child and adolescent population.

• Proven experience in providing therapy to children and adolescents, including individual and family therapy sessions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on creating a child-friendly atmosphere during therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in detox settings or specialized child and adolescent mental health facilities. Experience with family therapy techniques and crisis intervention will also be advantageous as we aim to provide comprehensive care across various scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits\n
