Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our Surgical Center, you will work onsite with a collaborative team that prioritizes patient-centered care. The environment is fast-paced and requires a proactive approach in patient management, making it essential for team members to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff. You will enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, with a typical shift starting at 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and detailed medical history reviews to gather critical information necessary for accurate diagnoses.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to inform treatment strategies.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute health issues, ensuring swift and appropriate medical response.
• Develop tailored treatment plans for patients with chronic conditions, regularly assessing the effectiveness of therapies and adjusting as needed.
• Prescribe medications while closely monitoring patient responses, ensuring adherence to best practice guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations and internal policies.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care measures.
• Facilitate ongoing wellness by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and habits.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and staying current with medical research advancements.
• Support healthcare initiatives aimed at optimizing patient care and improving health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve a diverse patient population, with cases spanning from acute emergencies to routine surgical assessments. You will work closely with patients of varying demographics and health backgrounds, allowing you to employ a broad mix of clinical skills while enhancing your cultural competence in healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• A valid state license and successful completion of the national certifying exam.
• Strong proficiency in primary care and acute care practices with a solid understanding of health care regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.

• A DEA number is required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care, hospital, or surgical center environment.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations and managing complex health cases.
• Bilingual skills are a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
