Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite as our Physical Therapists work in the homes of our clients in Jersey City and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Agile Strength Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, symptoms, and needs.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions through detailed evaluations and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
• Teach patients effective therapeutic exercise techniques to enhance mobility and strength.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as stimulation and massage to promote healing and pain relief.
• Assist patients in skillfully using mobility aids, including wheelchairs, walkers, and other adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records focusing on therapy goals, progress, and outcomes and adjust treatment modalities as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about in-home exercises and self-management strategies to facilitate ongoing rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass a diverse array of patients, spanning various age groups and medical backgrounds. From pediatric patients recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals aiming to regain independence after surgery, you will work closely with clients of all ages. This dynamic client focus requires you to adapt therapeutic approaches to effectively meet each patient's specific recovery needs, while also building trust and rapport with each individual and their family.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to maintain documentation and patient files.
• A flexible and agile approach to working with patients in their unique home environments.

Preferred Experience

We highly value practical experience, and candidates with at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience will be preferred. Familiarity with home health practices and community-based rehabilitation methodologies is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
