Key Responsibilities\n

Your role as a mental health counselor will include the following responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments for patients, utilizing our evidence-based methodologies to thoroughly understand their trauma history and treatment needs.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery and building resilience, ensuring that each plan is tailored to the unique needs of the patient.

• Providing therapeutic interventions through proven techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions that aid patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and fostering a supportive group dynamic.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to ensure an integrated and cohesive treatment approach that addresses all aspects of a patient's well-being.

• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, thereby ensuring that patients have access to care when they need it the most.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources for their healing journey.

• Maintaining accurate and secure patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all documentation is completed in a timely manner.

• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities that enhance trauma-informed care practices and methodologies based on the latest research.

• Staying informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy, integrating new evidence into practice to ensure our patients receive cutting-edge care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic primarily serves individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related disorders. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a clinical setting focused on trauma-informed care.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Effective communication skills, as well as the ability to establish trusting relationships with patients and of a compassionate nature.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications necessary for documentation and cooperation with other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n
