Work Environment

This full-time Physical Therapist position is primarily onsite, which means you'll visit patients within their own homes in Huntington Beach and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients by utilizing a variety of tests including range of motion, muscle strength, and functional capabilities to determine their current level of impairment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations, their personal goals, and physician recommendations, making adjustments as necessary to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Administer a wide range of therapeutic techniques which may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Provide education to patients, caregivers, and family members on self-management techniques, including safe practices for home exercises and adaptive strategies for daily living.
• Consult with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patient progress and necessary modifications to treatment plans.
• Oversee and mentor non-professional staff and aides, ensuring that all care delivered aligns with established best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and individuals seeking rehabilitation post-injury. The home care setting allows you to create personalized treatment sessions that meet each client's unique circumstances, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance and commitment to their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in physical therapy with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A record free from disciplinary actions or infractions related to professional licensure.
• Proficient with manual therapy techniques and possess a solid understanding of therapeutic exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
