Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake a variety of essential duties that contribute to both individual client care and the overall mission of Young Harmony Counseling Services:

• Conduct thorough assessments and interpret evaluation results to develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clinical supervision.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions while diligently maintaining accurate documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Lead and facilitate psychoeducational groups while providing individual counseling sessions to address the unique needs of each consumer.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participating actively in staff meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment strategies and improve care coordination.
\n
• Establish and strengthen relationships with local agencies and resources, advocating for client needs and facilitating access to community support.
\n
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and ethical practice, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.

• Conduct follow-ups and monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in professional development activities and remain updated on JCAHO, Medicaid, and DBH standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will primarily include individuals coping with various mental health challenges related to the perinatal period, including pregnancy and postpartum issues. This role intends to enhance their well-being through psychoeducation, support, and comprehensive treatment plans that consider their unique circumstances. A deep understanding of cultural sensitivities and diversity will be instrumental in delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following qualifications:

• Must possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.

• A valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is required.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have no prior history of medical malpractice claims, as verified by a third-party background check.
