Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional and social factors affecting student behavior and performance, utilizing interviews, observations, and medical history reviews.

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment to new environments, and family dynamics, tailoring approaches based on each student’s unique needs.

• Collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, and other members of the educational team to develop and implement individualized student support plans that promote emotional well-being and academic success.

• Facilitate access to community resources, including mental health services, support groups, and academic assistance, connecting students and their families to vital support networks.

• Educate parents and caregivers about mental health resources, coping strategies, and ways to support their child's emotional and behavioral needs.

• Participate actively in school meetings and meetings with parents to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare and participate in discharge planning when transitioning support services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clients for this role are school-aged children and adolescents who may experience challenges such as behavioral disorders, emotional distress, or psychosocial barriers to learning. You will be vital in providing strategies and support to help them navigate these challenges effectively, ensuring that they can thrive both academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current, active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Compensation and Benefits\n
