Work Environment

As a member of the Periscope team, you will be working onsite in our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, Florida. Key Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will involve:

• Directing and implementing physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring optimal muscle function based on each client's individualized care plan.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure that prescribed plans of care are executed effectively and safely.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities through assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint functions to tailor rehabilitation strategies that maximize performance.
• Extensively assessing home environments to make informed recommendations that foster client independence and safety.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and providing hands-on treatment modalities, including manual therapies, massage, and physical agent applications, to improve client outcomes.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and adjust care plans, participating actively in case conferences to align treatment goals.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously in clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Providing education to clients and their families on using therapy devices and understanding comprehensive rehabilitation programs, creating empowerment through knowledge.
• Assuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Periscope, you will work with a diverse client population primarily consisting of individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or facing mobility challenges due to age-related conditions or injuries. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and valid DPT license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or home health setting.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on patient and family engagement.
• A commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and demonstrating a passion for patient care.
• Proficiency in navigating federal and state regulations as they pertain to physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have:

Compensation and Benefits
