Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct thorough intake assessments, including diagnostic evaluations to identify the root causes of clients' challenges and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide ongoing counseling services through both face-to-face interactions and telehealth platforms, ensuring accessible care for clients regardless of location.

• Collaborate closely with clients' families to monitor treatment progress and suggest effective interventions when necessary.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage emergency situations and provide support during escalated behavioral crises.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes using our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

• Participate actively in clinical and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and improve treatment methodologies.

• Assist in the supervision and training of junior therapists and interns, fostering a culture of learning and development within our practice.

Qualifications\n

We require a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is essential.

• Active licenses in the District of Columbia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for documentation.
