Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work while also providing opportunities for in-person sessions in our outpatient office in Reading, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy sessions within our outpatient facility, customizing approaches to suit each child's needs.

• Implement evidence-based strategies for anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.

• Enhance decision-making and problem-solving skills for both youth and their caregivers, empowering families to manage behavioral challenges at home effectively.

• Collaborate continuously with our Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals, sharing insights and strategies to support the holistic development of the family unit.

• Accurately document all treatment plans, progress notes, and client interactions in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines and best practices.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing to discussions with recommendations based on your clinical expertise and observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve include children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role requires a compassionate and systematic approach to dealing with complex behavioral needs, enabling patients to enhance their quality of life and social interactions. Your work will facilitate crucial growth in youth as they navigate life’s challenges within their family context.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field with relevant clinical training.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with flexibility to work weekends as needed.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for in-home sessions.
\n
• A clean criminal record with the ability to pass a background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Professional experience providing positive behavioral support strategies for children with behavioral challenges.

• Prior experience working specifically with children diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities, enhancing therapeutic approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
