Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and specific needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique experiences and goals for recovery.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead therapeutic sessions, both individually and in groups, to support clients in processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive treatment approaches for clients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute trauma responses or emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma exposure, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential client records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and case consultations to continually refine therapeutic skills and knowledge in trauma care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals affected by trauma, including those facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise and empathetic approach will play a critical role in their recovery journey, fostering resilience, and supporting their mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and a variety of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient documentation and care coordination.

• A collaborative spirit to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focusing on trauma treatment.

• Direct experience implementing trauma-focused therapy interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
