Main Line Physical Therapy is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our team at our Appomattox, Virginia rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans that align with each client's goals and physician's recommendations.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions by performing a variety of diagnostic tests to assess muscle strength, joint function, and overall mobility.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, instruct patients in equipment usage, and support them in achieving their rehabilitation objectives.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they adhere to established treatment protocols while providing hands-on oversight and guidance as necessary.
• Assess and modify patients' home environments to optimize their rehabilitation process and encourage independence.
• Document all patient interactions and progress in compliance with clinical record-keeping standards, including but not limited to initial evaluations, ongoing treatment notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team case conferences to develop tailored treatment plans, share insights, and track patient progress.
• Provide ongoing education to patients and their families about treatment options, care plans, and home exercise programs.
• Regularly monitor patient responses to therapy, making adjustments to care as needed and communicating effectively with physicians and case managers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in physical therapy techniques and incorporate evidence-based practices into your work.
• Complete administrative duties, including timely documentation of clinical records and payroll submissions, as per company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or undergoing rehabilitation following injuries. Our focus is on providing attentive and personalized care to support our patients' journey towards independence and improved quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia, with a clean professional record.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to design and implement effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT.
• Knowledgeable in contemporary physical therapy practices supported by the latest research.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Background in developing programs tailored to specific patient needs, particularly in an outpatient therapy environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, complemented by comprehensive benefits.
