Position Overview

Active Life Rehab is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to enhance our team in Edison, New Jersey. This full-time, onsite role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. As a Physical Therapist at our outpatient facility, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Edison, our outpatient facility provides an engaging and collaborative environment for healthcare professionals. The workspace is designed to foster interaction among physical therapy staff, allowing the sharing of techniques and strategies. The schedule generally runs Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for additional arrangements to accommodate an optimal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the physical condition and functional abilities of patients, utilizing advanced assessment tools and methods.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's needs and therapy goals.
• Utilize hands-on therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to promote rehabilitation.
• Educate patients about body mechanics, posture corrections, and injury prevention strategies to empower them in their recovery process.
• Monitor patient progress carefully, making adjustments to treatment plans and methods as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals and specialists to provide integrated and coordinated care, ensuring comprehensive treatment for our patients.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, tracking treatment interventions and outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of therapies delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals with a variety of conditions including chronic back and joint pain, post-surgical rehabilitation needs, sports injuries, and balance or gait impairments. The therapist would work with patients ranging from children to seniors, ensuring that each treatment plan is customized. Our primary focus is to restore function and improve the quality of life for every patient who walks through our doors.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of clinical experience in diverse rehabilitation settings with proven ability to treat a broad range of diagnoses.
• Proficient in advanced physical therapy techniques with a solid understanding of rehabilitation methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively evaluate and address diverse patient needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings dealing with varied patient demographics.
• Prior familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be a plus.
• Advanced certifications in specialty areas such as orthopedics or sports medicine are beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
