Work Environment

This full-time position involves working onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center. The center is equipped with modern therapy equipment and resources designed to facilitate effective rehabilitation. As a part of a dedicated healthcare team, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists in a collegial and supportive environment. The position requires a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with potential weekend work to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Atrium, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify functional limitations and disabilities.
• Developing and executing personalized treatment plans to achieve patient rehabilitation goals.
• Compiling and interpreting patient data to inform treatment decisions and plans, considering factors such as age, cultural background, and physical capacity.
• Reviewing patient progress regularly, modifying treatment plans as necessary, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
• Documenting treatment sessions and evaluations accurately in both written and electronic records, and managing all documentation regarding billing codes for services rendered.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, including aides and students, while conducting educational sessions for new team members.
• Participating in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote health education and preventive care within the community.
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, consultation on individual patient cases when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with at Atrium range widely in age and rehabilitation needs, including athletes recovering from injuries, post-surgical patients, and elderly individuals managing chronic conditions. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise to a diverse range of cases, utilizing hands-on therapies, therapeutic exercises, and educational strategies to foster optimal recovery and functionality.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer skills.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience working in a rehabilitative healthcare setting, demonstrating a proven track record in physical therapy practice, treatment planning, and patient management.
