Work Environment\n

This position is designed for a remote work setting but is focused on supporting students in a school environment in Dallas, Texas. You will collaborate closely with educators, school administrators, and other healthcare professionals to craft an inclusive approach to student mental health. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility for evening shifts and occasional weekends to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments for students, focusing on personal backgrounds, presenting challenges, and risk factors to develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs.

• Collaborate with students to create and implement individualized treatment plans that target mental health issues while promoting emotional resilience and social integration.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care techniques in both individual and group settings.

• Lead group therapy sessions that encourage peer support, facilitate coping strategy development, and foster personal growth among students.

• Work with psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure cohesive and coordinated mental health care.

• Provide crisis intervention services when needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and making referrals to higher levels of care as necessary.

• Educate students and their families about mental health, creating community resources and options that empower them in their treatment journeys.

• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary meetings to review cases and collaborate on best practices and continuous improvement strategies.

• Stay informed about current trends, laws, and ethical standards related to mental health services in educational settings.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
