Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ psychological histories and identify tailored treatment needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, integrating therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to engage in healing, self-exploration, and resilience-building.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to formulate a comprehensive care plan for each patient, ensuring holistic support.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention, offering emergency support to individuals experiencing acute trauma-related distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, available coping strategies, and community resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that aligns with healthcare regulations and ethical guidelines.

• Engage actively in case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care.

• Continuously refine your therapeutic skills by staying informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our target population includes individuals grappling with various trauma-related disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be working with diverse clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, each on their unique healing journey. Your therapeutic contributions will directly influence their recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT is essential.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

• Robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions with a proven track record.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

Compensation and Benefits\n
