Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, meticulously evaluating patients’ trauma histories to guide appropriate interventions and treatments.

• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based approaches to foster resilience and healing in patients.

• Utilize specialized therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and acquire effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, creating an integrated care plan that addresses the unique needs of each patient.

• Respond effectively during crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention for individuals experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and useful resources, equipping them with the knowledge to enhance their recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for optimal efficiency and accuracy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with the effects of severe trauma and associated disorders. These patients may struggle with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, each presenting unique challenges and requiring a tailored approach to therapy. You will play a crucial role in guiding them through their recovery process, ensuring a respectful and empathetic environment that fosters their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices and treatment modalities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
