Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients, utilizing thorough assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of their mental health needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific trauma-related issues, integrating evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.

• Provide ongoing therapy sessions via telehealth, focusing on active listening and developing coping strategies to facilitate patient self-management.

• Monitor patient progress through detailed record-keeping and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patients’ evolving needs.

• Educate patients and their families on effective coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, providing valuable resources and tools for emotional resilience.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, social agencies, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for patients.

• Engage in professional development through continuing education courses to maintain and enhance your National Certified Counselor certification and stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who are grappling with trauma, often stemming from various types of injury or distressing life events. These patients require sensitive, empathetic care tailored to their unique experiences, aiming to help them reclaim their lives and build resilience. The challenges they face may include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and the impact of physical injuries on mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
