Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Niagara Falls. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule with no night shifts or weekend duties. Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiology, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with a team of experienced Cardiologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments, performing history taking, physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol through evidence-based practice and patient education.
• Providing outpatient Electrophysiology services to patients experiencing abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Evaluating and managing acute cardiovascular conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Administering stress testing to assess cardiac function and fitness levels for surgical procedures.
• Prescribing medications according to protocol and referring patients to appropriate specialists as necessary.
• Providing comprehensive education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication usage, and lifestyle modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be serving an adult patient population affected by various cardiovascular disorders. Your work will directly impact their health outcomes by ensuring timely and effective management of their conditions, significantly contributing to their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with the appropriate national certifying body.

Preferred Experience

While candidates with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those who have:

• Prior experience in cardiology, either in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• A demonstrated ability to manage complex cardiovascular cases independently.
• Knowledge of current cardiology practices and technologies, including those related to Electrophysiology and stress testing.

Compensation and Benefits
