Work Environment\n

The Clinical Mental Health Therapist will operate primarily in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while engaging with clients through secure telehealth platforms. Our outpatient office maintains high standards for technology and connectivity, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members and with clients. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, providing a structured schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health and substance use issues, identifying crucial elements such as co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based interventions and address the unique needs related to mental health and substance use.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with essential coping strategies, relapse prevention methods, and emotional regulation skills.

• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to coordinate holistic and integrated care tailored to each client’s needs.

• Implement regular monitoring for substance use and employ motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and support clients throughout their recovery journeys.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the connections between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of ongoing treatment compliance.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of treatment progress and interventions in adherence with ethical and legal standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism.

• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions to continuously enhance therapeutic knowledge and skills specific to treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve engaging with adults facing the dual challenges of mental health issues and substance use disorders. This population may include individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, or other psychological concerns, along with substance use challenges. Utilizing a compassionate, client-centered approach, you will help empower clients to navigate their unique recovery narratives towards sustainable wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Deep understanding of co-occurring disorders and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and establishing strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with using telehealth technologies to deliver therapy.

• Expertise in addressing diverse clientele, including varying demographics and backgrounds as it pertains to mental health and substance use.

• Participation in ongoing education and training related to integrated care approaches or co-occurring disorders is favored.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
