Work Environment\n

This position is predominantly remote, allowing you to offer therapy and support from your own workspace while maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office based in Columbus, Georgia. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing structure while allowing flexibility in how you manage your therapeutic sessions. You will collaborate closely with fellow professionals through virtual meetings and consultations to ensure continuity of care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, fostering understanding and empowerment.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve clinical practices.

• Maintain complete and confidential client records in alignment with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in ongoing team meetings, professional development workshops, and case consultations to enhance clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients by promoting mental health awareness and addressing barriers to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily engage individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will provide therapeutic support to vulnerable groups such as victims of domestic violence and homelessness. This diverse client base allows for varied therapeutic interactions and greater impact in assisting clients to navigate their challenges and promote resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess an active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
