Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work in an enthusiastic and collaborative onsite environment, primarily interacting with various patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. Our practice fosters teamwork, and you will regularly engage with physical therapists, fellow PTAs, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Vital Body Wellness, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed physical therapists in the timely collection of patient data, which includes administering standardized tests and measurements for initial evaluations.
• Facilitating the implementation of individualized therapy plans by performing designated therapeutic procedures, exercises, and modalities under the supervision of the physical therapist.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on the patient's evolving needs and coordination with the supervising therapist.
• Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers to explain treatment plans, expectations, and progress.
• Keeping the supervising therapist informed about any changes in a patient's physical or mental status, including their tolerance to various treatment regimens.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, including lessons learned from clinical meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will engage with individuals of all ages, addressing conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, sprains, and chronic pain syndromes. Your ability to connect with patients will be pivotal in providing emotional support, ensuring they feel comfortable and motivated throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• A valid Nevada Physical Therapy Assistant License or eligibility for licensure upon hiring.
• A current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrated proficiency in physical therapy techniques, with a strong aptitude for assisting in therapeutic interventions and patient assessments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting is required, applicants with experience in orthopedics and outpatient rehabilitation will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development are also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your dedication and expertise, Vital Body Wellness offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
