About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in abdominal transplant patients including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants
• Patient population includes transplant recipients, rejection cases, infections, acute kidney injury, uncontrolled diabetes, hepatology, and GI bleeds
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers welcome; minimum 1 year of experience required
• Float within the health system as needed; weekend parking and shuttle services available
• Work with specialized procedures including kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license or Ohio state license accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, Step-Down, IMC, or Telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Competency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, central line care, port access, PICC line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV insulin protocols
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately upon contract signing
