Work Environment

This role is an onsite position within a hospital setting designed to support outpatient cardiology services. The typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life with no on-call responsibilities or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will have a diverse set of responsibilities focused on patient care in the field of cardiology. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Collaborating closely with a team of cardiologists to evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases.
• Performing comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations to diagnose conditions
• Managing chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, ensuring patients are on appropriate treatment plans.
• Administering outpatient Electrophysiology services for patients with arrhythmias, interpreting abnormal electrocardiograms, and managing device therapy.
• Assessing and managing acute cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and transient ischemic attacks.
• Performing and interpreting stress tests as part of patient evaluations, providing necessary referrals to specialists.
• Offering health education and lifestyle modification counseling to patients and their families to promote heart health.
• Documenting all patient interactions in compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing practice preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and certification for practice.
• A current and valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York.

Compensation and Benefits
