Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, facilitating accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment planning.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting resilience and facilitating trauma recovery through personalized interventions.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in managing their symptoms.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging clients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies for healing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to create a seamless continuum of care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed and offer emotional support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them in their healing journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Heart and Mind Therapeutic Intervention, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to children, adults, and veterans facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients will be essential for creating a therapeutic alliance that fosters healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience strongly preferred, particularly in trauma-informed care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated skills in providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, with a focus on evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
