Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' eating disorder symptoms, mental health statuses, and any comorbid conditions affecting their recovery.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with assessment findings and collaboratively set concrete and achievable recovery goals with each client.

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in their transformation.

• Facilitate therapy sessions focusing on addressing clients' distorted beliefs about body image, food consumption, and their sense of self-worth.

• Help clients cultivate healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills to overcome disordered eating behaviors and enhance their emotional well-being.

• Coordinate with the broader treatment team to ensure seamless care and address all facets of the clients’ needs.

• Provide psychoeducation not only to clients but also to their families, fostering a supportive network essential for recovery.

• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation regarding clients' progress, treatment plans, and therapy notes, all in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The individuals you will work with are primarily those battling various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. Additionally, our clients often face co-occurring mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, which require a nuanced and comprehensive therapeutic approach. By fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, you will enable clients to embark on meaningful journeys of recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.

• Strong foundation in evidence-based therapies aimed at treating eating disorders, specifically CBT, DBT, and ACT.
