Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

• Providing mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), aimed at helping clients to manage stress and enhance their emotional well-being.

• Conducting comprehensive assessments during initial client sessions to establish individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique challenges and therapeutic goals.
\n
• Guiding clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and breathing techniques to cultivate self-awareness and promote emotional balance.

• Facilitating interactive group workshops and classes focusing on mindfulness practices, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, promoting community engagement.

• Integrating mindfulness techniques into one-on-one therapy sessions to address specific mental health needs and foster overall personal development.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation regarding client progress, mindfulness practices utilized, and overall treatment plans to ensure continuity and quality of care.

• Participating in regular supervision and collaboration with other health professionals to enhance treatment approaches and share best practices within the team.

• Engaging in ongoing personal mindfulness practice and professional development to continuously advance your expertise in mindfulness-based therapies.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A strong foundation in mindfulness practices, with proficiency in effectively integrating mindfulness into therapeutic frameworks.

• Exceptional communication abilities with an emphasis on creating a nurturing, supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates should be enthusiastic about incorporating mindfulness techniques into their practice and are encouraged to share prior experience that enhances the therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n
