Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, which include reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and delivering well-documented recommendations tailored to each patient.

• Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement and understanding in goal-setting processes.

• Implement treatment protocols skillfully based on evaluation findings and the specific needs of each patient, while staying updated with the latest healthcare practices.

• Consult with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals as necessary, understanding the nuances of each patient's condition and documenting any needed modifications to their care plans.

• Plan and execute discharge strategies, ensuring a seamless transition for patients by documenting all interactions and treatments in a timely and accurate manner.

• Demonstrate effective time management skills, meeting productivity expectations while maintaining a well-organized schedule.

• Contribute to department goals and objectives by complying with accreditation standards and regulations, as well as actively participating in departmental initiatives.

• Enhance the overall patient experience by being adaptable and flexible in meeting their diverse needs, ensuring great access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.

• Proof of completion of a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist as dictated by the state of Virginia.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association, which is mandatory for all staff.

Preferred Experience

We require a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting. Candidates with experience in outpatient rehabilitation and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be viewed favorably, as it aligns with our commitment to efficient documentation and patient care management.

Compensation and Benefits
