Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Outpatient Behavioral Health

The Special Care Behavioral Treatment Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in South Bethlehem, New York. This full-time position requires an onsite presence, allowing the NP to directly interact with patients and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality behavioral health care. Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Educating and counseling patients and their caregivers on illness processes, treatment options, and comprehensive care management strategies.
• Conducting thorough assessments, including comprehensive surgical, medical, and psychosocial histories, and documenting significant findings to maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborating closely with the care team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans that adhere to institutional policies and regulatory standards.
• Performing diagnostic tests and ordering necessary laboratory and imaging studies, interpreting results to form differential diagnoses based on clinical evidence.
• Maintaining an active medication list and revising it as necessary based on changing patient conditions.
• Participating in case discussions and team meetings to ensure coordinated care and exchange of critical information about patient progress.
• Contributing to the development of patient care protocols and standards to improve clinical practices within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve individuals dealing with various behavioral health conditions. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or completion of an NP Certificate Program.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability in a dynamic work environment, and a commitment to providing exemplary customer service.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient behavioral health settings or related fields may have an advantage. Compensation and Benefits
