Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Wave Internal and Family Medicine, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive well-woman and gynecological visits, including routine screenings and preventative care.
• Diagnosing and managing a range of mental health conditions, offering tailored treatment plans and wellness consultations.
• Integrating clinical guidelines smoothly across gynecology, wellness, and behavioral health specialties.
• Building and sustaining a referral network within the state to facilitate patient access to specialized services.
• Supervising clinical staff, including care coordinators and support teams, ensuring coordination and high standards of care.
• Partnering with care coordinators to develop, implement, and evaluate personalized patient care plans.
• Collaborating with external behavioral health and counseling resources to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Maintaining a high patient visit capacity, aiming for approximately 90% to ensure access to quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on a diverse patient population comprising individuals experiencing various health challenges such as chronic diseases, mental health issues, and those seeking regular wellness check-ups. You will engage with patients of all ages, providing comprehensive care that encompasses both physical and mental well-being. Our approach emphasizes prevention and health education, equipping patients with the knowledge and resources they need to maintain optimal health.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is mandatory.
• Current NP/PA Certification and an active Texas state license to practice.
• A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience in a relevant healthcare setting is required.
• Prior experience in women’s health is highly preferred, including familiarity with long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) methods.
• Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing behavioral health conditions and implementing treatment plans.
• Experience working within collaborative care teams.
• Understanding of adolescent health issues.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of three years of clinical experience is required, candidates who bring additional backgrounds in mental health, gynecology, or adolescent health will be viewed favorably. Previous experience in an outpatient setting is also desirable, as it aligns closely with our operational model and patient care philosophy.

Compensation and Benefits
