Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and current mental health status, informing appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and resilience. This may involve setting specific therapeutic goals in collaboration with patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to assist patients in processing their experiences.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to develop effective coping strategies and foster community support.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services for patients facing immediate trauma-related issues, demonstrating calmness and effectiveness in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Educate patients and family members on trauma responses, stress management techniques, and available resources, enhancing their understanding and resilience.
\n
• Accurately document all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and case consultations to continuously improve trauma-informed practices.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest research and trends in trauma therapy to incorporate innovative treatments into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals with PTSD. You will play a key role in their recovery journeys by providing a safe space for them to explore their feelings and develop coping mechanisms tailored to their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and composure when managing crisis situations.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology platforms.
\n
• A collaborative mindset to effectively engage with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic role focused on trauma recovery is preferred.

• Experience implementing trauma-focused therapies and working with diverse patient populations.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
