Florence Medical Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Elmont, New York. This full-time, onsite role focuses primarily on providing exceptional musculoskeletal care in an outpatient surgical setting. Work Environment

This position is set in a state-of-the-art surgical center, where collaboration and teamwork are paramount. As part of the onsite healthcare delivery team, you will interact daily with other physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare support staff. The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Our facility focuses on providing comprehensive care while enhancing patient outcomes using innovative approaches in musculoskeletal health.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with pain and functional limitations, developing personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Assist in outpatient procedures, including the administration of joint and nerve blocks, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the process.
• Collaborate closely with referring providers and rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care and follow-up services for patients.
• Manage an average caseload of 15–17 patients per day, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest practices in musculoskeletal treatment and pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus primarily on adult patients with musculoskeletal disorders, including joint pain, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your evaluations will play a crucial role in identifying the underlying causes of their ailments, guiding them toward effective treatment solutions, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Physician Assistant license is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program.
• A valid DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management, orthopedics, or physical medicine.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and experience in surgical settings.
• Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
