Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC) located in Jamaica, New York. This full-time position will focus on providing high-quality outpatient services in cardiology under the guidance of our Chief Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Director as part of our esteemed Division of Cardiology.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office, which focuses specifically on cardiology. The work setting is dynamic and patient-centric, with an emphasis on providing comprehensive heart health services. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists to provide comprehensive care for patients.
• Assess and manage patients suffering from hypertension and high cholesterol, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver outpatient-only electrophysiology services for patients with abnormal electrocardiograms, arrhythmias, and those requiring device management.
• Evaluate and manage acute conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease, and Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Conduct stress testing and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations, prescribing medications as clinically indicated.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists within the practice to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, disease management, and prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The nurse practitioner will primarily work with an outpatient population suffering from a range of cardiovascular conditions. This includes both chronic and acute patient presentations, requiring a keen understanding of cardiology best practices and an empathetic approach towards patient care. The scope of care spans diverse age groups and health backgrounds, emphasizing the importance of education and collaborative decision-making in treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) in New York.
• Certification from an approved Nurse Practitioner program.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient or inpatient cardiology settings is highly preferred, although new graduates with relevant educational background will also be considered.
• Experience managing chronic conditions, performing diagnostic tests, and interpreting their results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $120,000 to $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
