Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in our cardiology division, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including taking detailed histories and performing physical examinations.
• Managing and monitoring patients diagnosed with hypertension, high cholesterol, and other chronic cardiovascular conditions.
• Providing outpatient electrophysiology services, including managing patients with abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias, device patients, and more.
• Assisting in the management of acute cardiac conditions such as coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, congestive heart failure, and transient ischemic attacks.
• Performing and interpreting stress tests to assist in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions.
• Collaborating with on-site cardiologists for consultation and supervision in patient management.
• Educating patients and their families on cardiovascular health, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
• Facilitating referrals to specialists within our multidisciplinary team as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages suffering from various cardiovascular diseases, patients undergoing routine screenings, and those requiring complex interventions. You will play a critical role in helping them navigate their healthcare journey, providing compassionate and comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with certification.
• Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) in New York State.
• Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment and management in an outpatient setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from both newly graduated and experienced Nurse Practitioners. Prior experience in a cardiology setting, whether inpatient or outpatient, is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits
