Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their unique needs and challenges.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and cater to the developmental stages of each child.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems therapy to address mental health issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and conduct disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower caregivers and foster a supportive home environment.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health incidents, effectively managing immediate needs for at-risk youth.

• Educate families about mental health symptoms, treatment methodologies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights and strategies to enhance collective understanding of therapeutic practices.

• Stay updated on emerging research and advances within child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is centered on treating a diverse population of children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Our clients include those suffering from anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral problems. As a therapist, you will be pivotal in empowering these young individuals to navigate their journeys through healing and growth in a safe, understanding, and nurturing environment.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.
\n
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health challenges along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment models.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy specifically targeted at young clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to establish and strengthen rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to working cohesively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience in a child or adolescent mental health setting.

• Experience implementing trauma-informed care practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
